During our trip to Mexico in the winter of 2025, we spent time with 6 women and wrote down their stories. Through a collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the Wisconsin Latinx History collective, we had the privilege of working with a graphic designer, two public historians, and a translator to create an exhibit that brought their stories to life.

Delve into the lives of these resilient Nahua women who exemplify chicāhuac: the Nahuatl word for strong, robust, and powerful.
